I decided to break up the ship images with a couple of shots from our weekend in Louisiana. My wife's grandparents live on Toledo Bend Reservoir which lies on the state line between Texas and Louisiana. It is a beautiful place out in the country and pretty far from any real civilization. Cell phone coverage is almost zero! We spent the Easter weekend there and I captured quite a few images, but these are a couple of my favorites.

The sunset shot was really being in the right place at the right time and having my camera with me. I was lucky because just 24 hours later there was a bad brush fire to the right in the sunset scene and the smoke prevented me from getting any other shots. Every so often a sunset does some awesome things with clouds and the sky. To me, this is definitely one of those occasions.  The black and white image is of the same shoreline, but just a bit to the right and was taken much earlier in the day. I think the starkness of the trees lined up along the shoreline with their reflection in the water makes a nice shot.
